Our story:

Tilden Lawn Nursery was founded in 1978 by Mark Van Lunen. A graduate of the University of Maryland in 1976 with a degree in Horticulture. He started the business by growing and selling Christmas Tree seedlings and then switching to growing 2 acres of container stock. The nursery has now grown to a retail and wholesale nursery of select unique woody ornamental plants, annuals, perennials and the largest selection of natural stone in Anne Arundel County. Tilden Lawn also carries high quality pavers and concrete wall stone.

Debbie (Marks wife) has helped build Tilden Lawn Nursery since 1985. With a degree in Floriculture from W.A.C.C. (now Pennsylvania College of Technology). Debbie also raises and shows English Mastiffs. <pics coming soon>

Mark, Debbie and their fantastic staff are extremely knowledgeable in all products. They attend seminars on all of their suppliers products to keep up with current offerings. They also give seminars to educate the consumer on how to install pavers, build concrete walls and more! We only recommend ICPI Certified Installers for all paver and wall stone installations.

New selections of beautiful unique woody ornamental plants are hand picked by Mark and Debbie each spring. Their annuals, perennials and woody ornamental plants come from number one growers from the east and west coast's.

Tilden also offers ornamental hand carved granite & marble garden decorations of high quality and reasonable prices.
